Rotary Club of Key Largo Presents Rotarian of the Year Award to Jennifer Miller

KEY LARGO, Florida Keys (Sept. 14, 2016)  By Nada Khalaf-Jones – Rotary Club of Key Largo presented its prestigious Rotarian of the Year Award to Jennifer Miller.

“Jennifer Miller was selected as Rotarian of the Year for 2015-2016 not just for her accomplishments over a single year, but for her principled commitment to apply the “Ideals of Rotary” every day of her life as a Rotarian.

She has clearly demonstrated that “Service Above Self” and practicing the “Four-Way Test” have made significant contributions to our Rotary club, to our community, and to our world.

As a Past President of the organization and a member of many different committees, Jennifer is highly visible and active in virtually every club activity.  She embodies a Rotary spirit that is contagious and she strives to share that spirit with a younger generation of Interact members encouraging them to start on their own Rotary journey of Service Above Self, and beyond,” says Past President and Coral Shores High School Interact Club Advisor, Cris Beaty.

The Four-Way Test of the things we think, say or do’ is a test used by Rotarians worldwide as a moral code for personal and business relationships.

Beaty presented Miller with her award at the Key Largo Hilton Hotel, where the KLRC meets every Wednesday from 7:30 – 8:30 a.m.

Miller is also a two-time Paul Harris Fellow. A Paul Harris Fellow is an individual who has contributed more than $1000 to the Annual Program Fund, the Polio Plus Fund or the Humanitarian Grants Program of the Rotary Foundation. Multiple-time Paul Harris Fellows are recognized as they continue to contribute.

“I joined the Key Largo Rotary Club in 2006 because I saw all the great things they did for our community. I love Rotary because it’s like a second family to me and it’s great to see the impact we make locally and internationally – from local scholarships to eradicating polio worldwide, you get great satisfaction in making a difference in someone’s life,” says Miller.

Miller, who became a Keys resident in 1996 made her mark as a Realtor and has been active for 13 years. Miller represents K Company and Insurance Agency, AFLAC.
