Wednesday 14th September at 1215 EST, welcomed their very first lady drone pilot, at the Pilot House Restaurant, Port Largo Marina, Key Largo.

“I ran for approximately 6 weeks unopposed until three other candidates stepped forth, then ballots were handed out at the Pilot House member luncheon.” says Nada Khalaf-Jones.
“Two vacant board positions needed to be filled, I’m qualified to fill one of the seats but nothing is certain.”
It was a good moment, preceding the ballot count, says Jones. The Key Largo Chamber members voted to reduce Board Of Directors term limits to two years, which Jones supported.
During the lunch and election process President of the Chamber, Elizabeth McNabb- Moscynski, delivered a 25 bullet point State of the Chamber address. This illuminates the improvement plans, a campaign to focus on the membership and to work with the Board on a 1, 3, 5 strategic plan to move the chamber forward.
McNabb-Moscynski is former Homestead Air Reserve Base Marketing and Sponsorship director who has no less than Wings Over Homestead on her resume along with the re-launch of the magazine ‘Key Largo’ a rich dynamic guide to all good things in the fabulous Key Largo ‘Your First Key In Paradise’
Jones became a Scuba Instructor with PADI in 1992, went on to own and operate military and commercial PADI scuba training businesses for Kingsville Naval Air Station’s Moral Welfare and Recreation as well as Outdoor Recreation for Homestead Air Reserve Base.
“As a member of the Key Largo Chamber Board, my focus is to find a way to support those who want to keep environmental stewardship of the Florida Keys at heart. We all can, from hotels, real estate and our transient workers as well as the entry level high schoolers and returning college graduates!” Jones says.
Jones’ message is sustain this incredible environmental balance, support environmentally conscious fishermen and scuba diving companies and support the eco-friendly dry cleaners and hotels.
“I say to you keep up the good work, let us focus on protecting resources for the next generation of children and reef lovers, keep the beauty of what lies beneath our ocean horizons stunning, so that tourism remains alive and weddings so memorable for generations to come.”
“I’m so so glad to be able to serve the KLCC as it represents businesses of Key Largo alongside our great Chamber President and can’t wait to meet the members of the board next month at the inauguration ceremony. Moreover, I would like to also congratulate Lisa Feliciano of CenterState Bank on her election to the KLCC Board,” she says.
